The Arm Triangle choke is a simple and effective submission for competition. Real situations demand real tactics which can be different from competition though. This Arm Triangle Sweep is a good one to know for the real world. It’s all about maintaining mobility and positional dominance.
Our last combatives series tip was on the Arm Triangle from guard.
In this episode we continue off of that and show you some more real world modifications you can make, as well as a sweep to get you back on top in a better position to control the fight. In the real world we have to be cautious of weapons. The technique we teach in this Arm Triangle Sweep can effectively protect you if applied correctly.
We linked up with our official asset, Chris Pendas with Staying Safe Self Defense for this one. Chris brings many years of jujitsu and real world experience to the table so we wanted to get him involved when he came down for a day of training recently.
