I’m Blitz, a professional software developer and survivalist operating out of Knoxville, TN. Born in Georgia, I’ve traveled and lived all around the US, but in the past 10 years, I’ve made the South my home base. Setup here close to the Smoky Mountains, I enjoy time with my family, survival training, boxing, weight lifting and life in general. In the past five years, I’ve started to take my preps and training more seriously in every aspect. I would rather have the skills and never need them versus being one of the sheep waiting on Big Brother to save them.
I firmly believe in a well-rounded survival strategy that includes real-world training and physical training. Typically, the focus is always on the gear and guns, but it’s pretty obvious that without the application of skills, one will be SOL when a real survival situation arises. Secondly, I’m a very strong proponent of physical conditioning for survival. If you can’t hump the ruck or handle basic survival tasks due to your own health, then you might as well hang up the gear and stay home. I train 3-4 days a week in the gym and also fit in 2 weekly sessions at my local boxing gym. When I’m not creating & designing software in my career field, I own and operate a successful website and Facebook page dedicated to all aspects of the survival lifestyle.
