Survival and fitness go hand in hand. Fitness is clearly a paramount element but so many people neglect it in the preparedness community. I’ve personally been an MMA enthusiast going on 7 years now, and I’ve always been into fitness. My downfall was nutrition. Which is the real underlying problem for most people. It’s not always the training. Training is however still very important to the equation. When it comes to training I like to be effective and functional, in fitness, and in MMA. That means using fitness gear that allows me to do so. My fitness gear has evolved many times as i’m always looking for more, new, and better things. In this video above we break down my fitness gear and talk all about it.
Now, obviously to get started you don’t need all kinds of fancy fitness gear. They are merely your tools to make it easier to perform the tasks. In fact, you don’t really need any real fitness gear whatsoever to get healthy and fit. All you need is the will power. Let’s just be honest though. We have to get our nutrition under control. We are actually working on developing some great nutrition resources for you guys moving forward. It will be everything you need to get it under control. I also highly encourage you to say #FuckFastFood. Which is our initiative to help people live better lives without disease and limitations due to the negative effects of shitty processed foods. Next time you’re at a fast food joint or driving by one. Snap a photo/video giving it the middle finger and post it using the hashtag!
You can get fit anytime anyplace. The only limitation is your mind. However, when you’re talking about training MMA, there are some things you’ll want to pick up in order to develop your skills properly, and safely. Below is a list of all of my personal fitness gear that I mention in this video, as well as some extras that I plan to get in the future.
