Everyone loves a good tire workout. This functional tire workout will absolutely destroy you. It combines burpees with front, back, and lateral jumps
This is the start of a brand new series of fitness videos. Specifically functional fitness. This series is designed to provide you with high quality functional workouts that you can sample to build your very own HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout routine. I prefer functional workouts over most everything.
My goal is to build the kind of body that can perform all tasks well. I don’t want to be able to lift 500 lbs, but not be able to complete a 1 mile run. Vice versa I don’t want to be able to run 20 miles and only be able to lift 100 lbs. The body type I aim for is one of high functionality. One that is as powerful as it is agile. One that has great endurance as well as flexibility.
Functional workouts combine both strength training, and natural body movements to help develop the muscles for use in the tasks we can often find ourselves doing. Such as the similarities between sledge hammer drills, and splitting firewood for winter.
There’s many other examples of functional workout relationships with natural movement. I think you guys get the point though. In this particular routine we are working many aspects. Such as cardio, agility, explosive power, speed, and more. This tire workout utilizes many different muscle groups and you will primarily feel it in the thigh area.
All you need is 3 tires, and the will to shed some weight, because I promise you after a few iterations of this tire workout you’ll be wanting to slap me for convincing you to try it, lol. However, bare through it, remember your objectives, and stay the course. This tire workout, combined with many others in this functional fitness series will increase your functionality, and will most definitely cut the fat off of you.
